p.p.s. ran into our first two issues. 1. The hardwood floors cannot be saved. The original layer of linoleum was glued directly onto the hardwood floors. 2. Leveling the room is going to be more of a challenged than anticipated. The floor joyces run the wrong way (we knew that) and we're going to have to try to jack up the whole downstairs. I see several cracked plaster walls in our future. Good thing we didn't make an effort to paint any of the rooms yet!
