Bermuda
We had a great time on our trip! As I'm sure you all know, we made it out of Bermuda just in the nick of time!
We had several pleasant, relaxing days while on the ship. We sat by the pool and read, took naps, went to (bad) shows, and ate (a lot!) It was a much needed break from reality! Of course
Bermuda was beautiful too! We had a great time riding around on our scooter, seeing the sights, relaxing, and of course...eating!
Here are some pictures from our trip:
We stopped to watch the sunset:
We admired the beautiful scenery:
More admiring... (don't worry we found much nicer beaches where we actually went swimming!)
We went on a fun segway adventure:
We went to Crystal Cave to see the incredible stalactites and stalagmites:
We also went on a fun catamaran cruise to a beautiful cove for an afternoon of snorkeling and kayaking. (Is that a word?) I've never seen so many fish in my life! Those closest to me know that I have an irrational fear of fish! That's right, snorkeling was terrifying (at first) and then it was fun! There were literally thousands of small fish that were all around us...all the time! I told you, it's an irrational fear...but it cannot be denied. We saw a TON of fish and a school of baby squid. That was pretty neat! They change colors! And because I know you're all thinking it...the answer is no. They do not provide child size snorkel masks! Bummer!
We also indulged in one too many SWIZZLES-ask Michael about that one!
Surprisingly we both came back from our trip with nice tans and with a good report for our dermatologists-lots of sunscreen was used and no one got burnt! That's different!

Living Room Update
Our living room is a constant work in progress.
Some of you may already know that a few weeks ago I found some rugs on sale through Rue La La that I thought were good buys. The main driving forces behind purchasing some rugs was #1-Add to our decor! And more importantly, #2-To have more comfortable places to the Blakester to lay down. Of course I had to make my purchase fast because everything decent on Rue La La goes FAST! I didn't want to miss my opportunity. As you know all, I've never claimed to be an "impulse buyer," but I pulled the trigger and made the purchase. (Who knew rugs were so expense! I do now!)
Sadly the rug did not arrive before the Blakester left us. We miss him!
Anyhow...when we arrived home from Bermuda (more on that later) our new rug was waiting for us. Tear for the Blakester! Well, the rug was already purchased so we might as well enjoy it.
I know this isn't everyone's favorite look, but I thought for the price it would be perfect! I also loved that it would be a dual purpose rug. By that I mean it will work in both our living room and bedroom. For now it will live in the living room, but when I'm tired of seeing in there it will have a new home in our bedroom and I get to make a new purchase for the living room! The best part about it is that it will totally transform both rooms! It'll be nice to switch up the living room in the future also!
Yeah yeah I know you don't really care about what I have to say, you just want to see pictures. Here it is:
After seeing the rug in pictures, I want to move it forward in the room so it is under the tv as well. That said...I don't really care to take the time and energy to unplug all the tv components and move everything. Perhaps when we get a new entertainment center we'll do that at once.
What do you think?

One Year!
In just a few days we will be celebrating our first anniversary. I cannot believe how fast this year flew by. We experienced a lot of firsts this year! It was filled with several wonderful experiences, and only a few challenges that were thrown into the mix. I can't wait to see what year two will bring.
We're off for 1 week to celebrate!
In case you don't remember everything from September 13, 2009...here's a few reminders.
First we did this:

Happy anniversary to my wonderful husband!
